    Finally registered the face plate to my big lathe after cutting to small first time. Had to face entire surface down .250 inch the take another .250 to match ID of the Chuck. Took several hours and cast iron dust all over but finally got a good wit. Will mount and indicate today then cross that...

    Blow in insulation for parts of garage

    I have a quonet style shop. I built side walls, framed, installed batt insultion, then blew insulation into the remaining space. Finally I had spray foam insulation for the radiused part of the roof.

    Yesterday I installed leads and fired up the Idealarc R3R 400(?) I bought ,, used, last fall. It takes me a while. What an upgrade from the Hobart AC unit! And a good buy as well, ended up with about $700 invested.

    Finally cut some metal on my big, 20x120 inch, lathe. Big learning curve in front of me but headed in the right direction:)

    Arch building and loose bolts

    My building came with the property, 30x50. Walls go up 8 ft before the curve. When built they set the metal the poured a birm on both sides? I lost 2 ft but good tight building. I stick built outside walls and have a jib crane. Very happy:)

    Milling Machine

    I have a larger round column mill drill. It's a great drill press but when milling in the X axis the head will move at the most inopportune times. Just my 2 cents.

    Shure wish you were closer. I'll be 70 in a few days but I'm a newb machinist of about 4 years. Definitely have a lot to learn:)

    Metal sizes

    3/8 square is a standard HSS size. Little Macine Sop, Enco, etc.
