Pics: before, during, & after. Shows how Vinegar & Salt works.

I use a covered bin from a big box store to keep the vinegar in. Lid is tight enough that the garage doesn't smell like french fries. It works good for small parts. For larger pieces, like the A-arms from my car I've been derusting with electrolysis. It's quicker and I just leave a 20 gallon...

    10' x 20' rafter size

My house has 2x4 roof trusses on 24" centers and I'm in Michigan. It was the first time I'd seen 24"centers. We used to live in Ontario and my house there had each roof joist over a stud,so 16" centers.

    Anybody remember these?

I use the closed ends of my set all the time. The open end is decorative.

What company is this sign for.....?

Vernon B.King, of King-Seagrave fire fighting equipment, had a trailer manufacturing business and it's manufacturing facility was in Woodstock, Ontario. I think I remember when that business closed up shop. This may, or may not be the logo of that business. I haven't been able to find much on it...

    Rust Never Sleeps

Take that rear clip from the '58 Impala ,narrow it,and make it into a roadster body on a '32 Ford chassis. I saw one done up like that, but it used the quarters from a '59 Buick. It looked liked some of those Revell models I used to build in the 60's.

    Glass top stove

I've had my wife tell me the burners were shot twice now. In both cases it was the switches that were bad. An easy fix, just be sure you get the right wattage switch. There's normally 2 sizes in a stove, sometimes 3.

    Strengthening Joists

I'm a mechanical engineer, and this makes perfect sense to me. It is, however, dependent on how well the 2x4 is fastened to the existing floor joist. You can buy engineered joists that are just an upper and lower 2x4 with an OSB web. This does much the same thing, just without the ultimate...

    My back yard fab shop

I ran a couple of Volkswagen GTIs, prepped to SCCA rules for Improved Touring B, and then I switched to a Spec Miata. Sold that 4 years ago and didn't replace it. One of these days I might give vintage racing a try. I fell in love with the old Alfa Romeos in the Trans-Am ,after watching them at...

NASTYZEN, Nice shop build. As a former road racer I'm curious as to what kinds of cars you've built. I also happen to know where St-Columban is,too...grew up in Brownsburg.

CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! historic cars and barns!

I'd put the Gilmore at the top of my "Best Car Museums" list. Absolutely a great place to spend a nice sunny day. The grounds, buildings and cars are all first rate. Plan on eating lunch in the restores 50s diner. If you belong to any sort of car club, this would be a great outing.
