Just hang in there man. You two are making great progress on your bug. I don't get much done either when it gets below freezing. After a full day at work and a 30 minute commute home it doesn't leave much time for my little salamander to heat up the garage. Weekends are about the only time...
That's at least part of the idea. She's taking a lot of pride in knowing how everything goes together in this car. We're installing the new wiring harness now. We watched the bug-me video together. About half way through it, Julia turns to me and says, "I have absolutely no idea what he's...
Well, here's the deal. My daughter, Julia loves old VWs. So I made her a deal. We would work on a restoration project together. She has to bring home A's and B's on her report cards and she gets the car. Bad grades mean the car gets parked. No exceptions.
I traded some of my cast off...
I definitely know what you mean about a bug project ***********. We went from a free, rusty POS to something that's nearly too nice to drive. All my friends tell me I'm nuts if I let a teenage girl drive this after it's done. I keep reminding them that it is just a car and she's a lot more...
Keep watching this forum. Julia and I will try to get our winter project thread posted tonight. I have a few pics of it in my album on the HAMB. Same screen name over there.
Looks like a great father son project. You're doing a fantastic job, both on the bug and with the boy!
My 16 year old and I are working on a bug now too. She (yes my daughter) is pretty stoked about her Super 'vert. I'll be posting our winter project here in the next few days.
Best of luck...
