Mine is the Princess Auto standing (floor model) but I had the benchtop before this. Same as the HF units basically.
Look up media mixing valve and you will see its fairly easy to mod your cabinet...
I have a floor fan That just blast air! I tilt it at the pump on the hot days LOL I also found that adding a auto style air box outside ( I used a old Dodge Caravan AIr box) will help keep it cooler and quieter in side the shop. Just gotta watch the humidity outside~ some days this is not...
Do you have a media mixing valve on your blast setup? That and the new gun I am saving up for claim to be tuned to your compressor size/output. They claim you can use around 40-65PSI when tuned correctly. I don't plan on using the sandblast often but when I do I want it to be as efficient as...
Okay so given that we know I can't get the imaginary gains that just are not there.
I have a second 18-20gal oil less compressor in the basement and have a line plumbed to outside under the deck.
When doing larger jobs, Is it better to run the little guy as well and just plumb it into the Main...
Just hoping to get a bit more fun time with the Vapor blaster I am toying with. I figure it will really only need 50-60PSI so little less than running the sand blaster. The extra tank may only be used for the cabinet processes anyway and this is not very often, but expect that to change with...
Aren't we all... Must have shop and wiring infrastructure available to do so.... With only 30A service I am very limited. Sometimes you "gotta pss with the c*ck you got"
Exactly it. Will be the same "run time" give or take 1 0r 2 variable cycles.
So yes I can Run to 80PSI in maybe double the time, but if I had to stop and wait for a full system it would take twice as long.. there really isn't much gain. Except if you live by the blast/sip beer while...
Yes I wish I could learn more about the stuff I didn't know I wanted to know about 30 years after dropping out of school LOL
I do the best I can, along with helpful advice form you fine folks. I can usually fake it till I make it.
But in the end my brain still says if you take say...
Thanks Nadogall, LOL I have often been described as "the engineer that never stayed in school" LOL
Agreed the aux tank needs to have a drain plug. When you say "condensate drain" would these be the same as the AUTO drain solenoids? I have these on every drop leg on the hard lines, as...
I have a 60gal tank in my small shed/shop. I have slowly made improvements to it from the single cyl 2.5 HP pump/motor combo.
I have the Princess Auto 3 cyl single stage pump with a 5HP motor running the mess. Pump is rated for Flow Rate (CFM)16.1 @ 40 PSI/14.0 @ 90 PSI
I have 1/2" hard lines...
Thanks McMac!
I know not to expect to much from most stuff @ PA. But I need to start somewhere.
I spent the weekend modifying my tank to mount the cheaper pump. I also moved my motor over to give a bit more room between the pump and motor.
Got the whole mess together around 11 last...
All of this of course will be based on a 5hp motor spinning either pump. Since I am aware the 3hp is not going to cut it. Motor should be here next week sometime.
Seber- I can't post the links as I am new to the forum and this was my first post.
As for manufacture? don't really know... It is from Princess Auto similar to Harbor Freight in the USA. Anything more is out of my price range.
I did mention it is single stage. 3 CYL. I guess they call it...
Thanks Cobbler.
I actually have BOTH pumps sitting in my kitchen right now LOL I love my very understanding woman.
I Think the one rated for 18.5 @ 135 is the better pump? But the numbers are not in the same "PSI" range, so I don't know if it IS actually better?
I won't lie it is...
