I think SK made wrenches in Defiance when they were SK-Wayne. Have a few wrenches and sockets from that time period somewhere.

I'd look for an older vise on craigslist. Some good deals and some overpriced stuff as well, but you'll certainly get a better vise than the one you're looking at. I paid $50 for my old Athol. edit...I was ninja'd by one post!

No luck finding tools but we have bought an in wall oven and refrigerator there with small dents that will be covered anyway within the last two years. Appliances seem to be the best reason to go there now. The only tools they had last time I was there were in a small 3'x3' bin about $.03 off...

My 10 year old Protech is pretty solid, but I don't really trust any truck box enough to keep good tools in it at all times.

Just got mine today and the 1/2 dr Proto's don't fit. Other than that they're very solid and high quality. I am thinking about switching my 1/4 and 3/8 drives over to these.

Nice review. I just ordered the 1/2 drive standard and metric because my proto sets don't fit on the Hansen trays. Looks like these will work and last forever.
