Well, don't get too excited. That Mustang is a 6-cylinder/auto, and there is a an unkindly amount of rust underneath. But it was an awesome find! Hey, I was hoping it was an old Ford tractor, so seeing the backend of an early Mustang convertible was just too cool.

Okay, here is the same Mustang a few weeks later. I fitted new tires, battery, and washed it. Sitting so long, it will need some TLC, but it did start right up and I drove it out of the shed on flat tires... Yes, barn finds do still happen when you least expect it.

I recently purchased a 2-1/2 acre piece of bare land in southern California, near San Diego. The former owner(s) were both developers who bought the land to build houses.. They could care less what was left behind by the original land owner, dating back to 1968. Well, among the tons of junk left...
