How much more would it be to go an extra 10' on the width, then put up a wall with a big glass window or even a couple of patio doors. This way the shop side is bigger, and the "wall" is basically the "fume" divider. I like the way you think, but I also understand what the other guys are...

It cost me $1/board foot. So total job was $1300 (CAD). The guy that did it is new to this, so it doesn't look the greatest, there are a few flaws. But for the most part, I am really happy, and I still think it's better than batt insulation ( and I didn't have to do anything.)

I just had Icynene sprayed in about 1 month ago. My shop is 28x40 with 10 foot ceilings. It is pole barn constuction, with all metal siding and roof. Although we haven't had very cold weather yet,(20 deg min so far) I can say that it blocks the wind incredibly, and that is more of a problem...

I just whipped the crane arm together at work, not much to it just a flat plate 6"x30" 3/8" thick. Then I welded the 2x2 tubing through it for the hinge, then the arm sticks out about 5'. I used 3/8" thick plate for the gusset and machined the angle on it. The hoist is from Princess Auto...

The openers were a little more than conventional style. But they are just awesome, super quiet and doesn't take up any ceiling space.

Cabinets look good. I too noticed the heater, but my question is, how do you like it? I'm considering that in mine, but I hear way too many people that don't like them (especially the older guys) How big is your garage and how many BTU's is it? Ed
