Milwaukee M12 3/8 Impact Pin Detent Woes

Have had my 2555P-20 for a while now and for the car stuff I do it's great. My issue with it is the pin detent. It's super stiff to get sockets on and off, most of the time I gotta depress the detent with a pocket screwdriver to get a socket on and use it to pry sockets off. Last time I looked...

    Huge Craftsman Selection at Lowes

Made in China Craftsman just does not sit right with me. Don't get me wrong, I got tons of China made tools, some of them I would say are very well made. My issue is taking an American icon like Craftsman and slapping that name on the same **** I can get from harbor freight for half the price.

Harbor Freight 3 Ton Daytona Jack Versus Snap On FJ300 Jack

Fresh %20 coupons are out for Columbus Day, thinking of getting the yellow daytona because I need something low profile to pick up my WRX, my 20 year old craftsman jack is a bit to tall. I know it's not perfect but for the 160 I can get it for I don't think anything else will be better.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

This is on a really new very lightly used unit. Granted i'm using it with tekton sockets which might not be the best but like if I point the gun at the ground and shake it hard enough the socket will fall off. This is making me want to go to the pin detent 1/2 version of the stuby

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I have the current non stubby M12 3/8 impact with the friction ring and it doesn't hold onto my sockets at all. Going to go with the 1/2 stubby with the pin detent as soon as they are out. Just need to get a set of 1/2 impact sockets to go with it as well.
