Scan tool with no/minimal annual fees

I'm currently paying for autoauth with an autel that I didn't renew the subscription on. The sub is just for updates for newly released cars. When the time comes I'll pay the $125 annual and bake it in.

Confess: What Tool Did You Not Really Need But Bought Anyhow? (Silly Stuff Included)

Mag77. I just think they are cool. Bought it for no reason. I do all my homeowner cutting with a cordless trim saw. I bought a cooling system vacuum filler. It's awesome I'm just always too lazy to set it up. I bought a fluke 27 II but I never use it because I use my mini clamp meter all the time.

    Has anyone EVER used a 16mm or 18mm wrench/socket?

16 is 5/8. Use it all the time. Usually drain bolts.

Is diesel the best degreaser? and if the answer is no, why do you like being wrong?

The only things I degrease is machinery so I use a degreaser thats better for groundwater contamination. Krud cutter and oil eater, etc. I'm also not putting diesel in my parts washer because I live here.

    Waste oil storage/tank

Huh? No. I don't store it or take multiple trips to recycle it. It's a tote with wheels. When the work is done it goes into my truck bed and recycled at the transfer station.

    Waste oil storage/tank

Storing used oil when you don't use it for heat or fuel is crazy in my opinion. Spending money to store it is even crazier. We got cars, tractors and commercial trucks and a 58 quart drain pan/tote gets the job done...can be stored vertically...

    Air Ratchet Wrench Recommendation

The only air ratchet I use these days is a 1/4" mini palm because its size makes it niche. Hardly ever a use case for a 3/8ths air ratchet.

How many times did you organize your toolbox before being content?

Content and organized is expensive and unachievable. Set up to be efficient is cheap and possible.

    Noco Jump Boxes

I have a Gooloo GT1500A. I bought it 3 years ago and I've used it at least 50 times. I also use it to power things during power outages and car camping. I've jump started 9 liter diesels with it. It was $60 and I purchased it after the first project-farm video for jump starters. When I first...

Is a 20 gallon compressor enough for air impacts?

Excellent observation. Neither you or the OP are a tire shop, though. I can run a 1/2" cornwell impact all day long on a 5scfm 8 gallon compressor. If you have to wait for a 26 gallon to catch up, you have a leaking air motor or a worn compressor.

Is a 20 gallon compressor enough for air impacts?

    You just described air compressors.

Is a 20 gallon compressor enough for air impacts?

Yes. Plenty. Set the regulator to 90psi working pressure (meaning 90psi with the tool actually in use) and it will be fine.

    Why aren't wrench handles round

The two most comfortable wrenches I've ever used are: They are about as rotund as it gets.

    I need a grease gun

I had nothing but issues with my k32 follower. The original plunger was undersized and leaked grease past the follower immediately. I purchased a replacement follower/plunger kit and it also was undersized. My solution was to go to Walmart and spin on a HyperTough grease tube onto the K32 pump...
