    dating an S-K tool box

Seeing the subject line suggests, www.match.com might be a better source. Oh, not that kind of dating. Maybe this thread will help. http://www.thegaragegazette.com/index.php?topic=4639.0. Oh and welcome.

    poor pour finish

Self leveling concrete is probably your best bet, depending on how large the area is. I had that issue with my entire garage and ended having to put down RaceDeck to fix all the issues. Hopefully yours isn't that bad.

Liftmaster LA400, LA100 or something else for swing gate operator?

1950 Chevy Surburban - Did you ever complete your gate project? I've got an Apollo NT-T5 ETL and am tackling the project myself. I'm not opposed to looking at someone's how to editorial on how they did theirs. :)Hate re-inventing the wheel if someone has already documented their set up. If...

Any reason why I shouldn't purchase RaceDeck?

Howard, Thanks for the thoughts. On the mend and doing well, the garage is awesome and really does bring a smile to my face every time I'm tinkering away out there. Post up pics of your floor when it's done! FWIW, I got his bond and his license! He will Not do this to anybody else and yes...

Any reason why I shouldn't purchase RaceDeck?

I'd relate the details, but seeing as I'm not currently on blood pressure meds and want to keep it that way, I'm going to pass. Suffice to say, my general contractor (while I was out of town) let amateurs pour a 1500 sq.ft. garage in one pour with NO expansion joints on a hot July day. I had...

    Pitted concrete

I had a lot of issues with my concrete http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104501 and after considering all that was involved to repair, level and smooth the surface in prep for an epoxy coating, I went with Race Deck. There are other non-epoxy products out there that are worth...

Any reason why I shouldn't purchase RaceDeck?

At long last I have some pics to share with the forum. The project was not as daunting as when I was considering an Epoxy floor coating as the Race Deck tiles didn't require any prep that a push broom and leaf blower couldn't fix. Below are some before and after shots to compare. The...

UPS just lost a 100 year old Prentiss

Craig, That really *****! I can appreciate how you must feel, but as others have mentioned here, any carrier can have it's problems. One of the things that all should keep in mind is that if they are buying something that is irreplacable, is to take out some cheap insurance by having the...

So if my garage floor is trowel finish that means no acid etch?

Yep, straight acid is way too much for most preps. The Ucoatit folks recommend a 10% muratic acid to water mixture for floor prep. http://www.ucoatit.com/2011web/pages/2011-ucoatit-faq.htm#Q3.3

UCoatit Epoxy Floor Coating "credit" for sale

Story of my life! If you run across anyone who might be interested, please shoot him this ad. I'm just about finished with my Race Deck install and although very happy with the finished product, would've been happy to use the Ucoatit and save myself a few grand.
