I bought a meter off the gearwrench truck awhile back for at home ($55 es??). Not sure what it is other than slow as balls... the capacitance reading is off by 1.22nf also. But, it works. My fluke 87 with load pros leads I have at work is a million times better. No waiting, gives you a reading...
I wish I had a sliding top! Flip top *****, I built a rack on my lid using bunge cord to hang my ratchets/extensions/etc. on but would rather have a top surface to actually work on stuff. Nice box, once you fill it up you'll have to expand though! Only buy what you need!
I bought a set new 5 years ago, the phillips tips constantly stripped out. I switched to whitte and haven't had a problem since. It makes me wonder, SO T-handle torx wrenches never break far as I've seen. Why don't they use the same material to make their screwdrivers? Just my two cents.
Looking for some info. My old SO dealer turned independent showed up today with a double bay bluepoint box (55x25?) maybe late 90's early 2000's. Anyone have one? any good word about it? I could almost trade my current box even up for it, I have a year old jsc750. I love my matco "cart" but...
Really never break anything, I exchange torx bits and screwdrivers once in a great while when they wear out. What I get a kick out of is the rest of the guys in the shop tools in hand marching onto the SO truck every tuesday. If your using the right tool for the job, odds are it will last a long...
Its all about Wants and NEEDS! Do you Want it, or NEED it? lol. I put in in almost 10 years as a fleet mechanic before I bought a nice box for myself (half the size of what you are talking about buying). I have everything I need in my 40" box. We have guys/entry level techs with 3 to 4 times...
I have a bottle jack from a reputable tool mfg. I won't name made in "PRC". I'm guessing its just looks better than made in china. Won't let down unless you stand on it. I should of just gave it back but, I didn't for some reason.
Is the center section supposed to be a hutch too? along with the top hutch? I don't understand the setup at all. Personally I wouldn't pay anymore than the bottom is worth, 2K maybe 2500. The whole setup would probly be nice for at home but, I wouldn't buy that for home use. So there's a whole...
What kind of framebolts are you using? I'm used to seeing black grade 8's used on frames. I'm starting on 08 mack pinnacle at the moment, rebuilding it on new rails. I'm hucking the whole frame though. Definately not resonable for everyone . It's nice to see other Semi builds, keep up the good work!
I had a 'gear wrench' come apart once. I'll say this, after you see the tiny little pawl and spring in there you'll be amazed that these things even work! I dip the end in a bucket of oil and work em back and forth, clean em off, whenever they seem off. Has worked for me just fine. I don't see...
Sorry if im missunderstanding you but, all matco boxes are custom order. You can lay the drawers out anyway you wan't, on the 6series especially. Thats why i'd rather buy a matco box than the others If I was going to spending that much money. Built for you! Rather than picking a box and a color...
I second williams super combo, I've had my set for 5-6 years daily use on semi's. rusted corroded siezed stuff, open ends work perfect. I wouldn't buy anthing else from now on. $200 will get you a pretty large set.
