Why is ready mix concrete so expensive in Minnesota?

Portland is in short supply right now. The company I work for is doing a large Amazon distribution center. Everyday is a struggle to find portland for soil stabilizing, it's even hard to get quick lime for drying.

Voltage Drop - 34 Amps on 18' of 12/2 Wire?

I looked at the datasheet for that pump and it claims it's 0.38HP. Which at 12V is only 23 amps or 20 amps at 14V. I wouldn't worry about it.

If you are worried about rain getting in past the seal, then look into a company called ThermoTraks. They replace the track and push the door into their seal.

    4 - 20 MILLIAMP LOOP

That's what I'm thinking. He wasn't very specific in his post. Not to question his project but what it the point of monitoring the nat gas pressure?

    4 - 20 MILLIAMP LOOP

When you say "gas pressure" do you mean like natural gas at your house? If you're monitoring natural gas pressure it's only like .3 psi after the regulator. You'll only need like a 0-1 psi sensor. If you're measuring it before the regulator that is usually the gas companies line. I don't know...

    McMaster-Carr for Small Drill Bits?

They've recently added a COO in their descriptions. They have it for most items. Here is a screenshot. I get surveys from them a lot about adding products and features to the site. Not sure if everyone does, or I get them because my work buys a lot from them.

    McMaster-Carr for Small Drill Bits?

Call or write an email and they will tell you the manufacturer. In my opinion I wouldn't bother because everything they sell is high quality.

Can we use 110 volt tankless water heater for shower??

Don't do it! I had one for just a sink, and it couldn't keep up. I just installed a 10 gallon normal water heater and it works great!

    Any love for Swisstrax?

Someone is jealous. He provides a service and people seem to use it, I don't see the problem.

Clay fill for pole barn build

Correct. I should have worded that differently. I should have said let it sit and let it do any settling its gonna do, recompact it and then build the barn. If he really is worried about it he shouldn't be asking some random people on a forum, he should contact a geotechnical engineer and get...

Clay fill for pole barn build

Clay is used to line retention ponds all the time, it doesn't absorb water quickly at all. Although once it is absorbed, it will hold it for a while. If proper drainage is put in the clay will not absorb that much water. Importing 200 tons of stone is simply not necessary in this case. The...

I have a Rivet Tool Conundrum

If you have more than about two 1/4" rivets to put in I would get an Astro air powered riveter. Its a bit more expensive, but it is very nice. It will do all the other sizes also. I have one and use it quite a bit. https://www.amazon.com/Astro-Pneumatic-Tool-PR14-Riveter/dp/B000MQ9H4W

Clay fill for pole barn build

If you could have your contractor place it and compact it then let it sit for a while and get some freeze and thaw cycles that would probably be the best way to do it. That should let any settling that it's going to do to occur.

Clay fill for pole barn build

All of that is not necessary. The geotextile fabric would be a good idea though. He siad he will be putting in french drains, so I don't think draingage will be a problem.
