A DIY that has wide range of experience
Was employed as electronic tech for Southern Pacific RR.
On the RR we fix whatever comes up, but Telecommunication stations and all supporting apparatus was my most regular service experience.
However in the US Army I was an Air Traffic Controller for a couple years. And a Brakeman on the SPRR for 5 years. Grew up with an agricultural home and families.
No avid hobbies, but like a wide range of interests, excluding sports and typical entertainments.
