    Lumber Price Check

ZIP system (required some places in my neck of woods) is out of control IMO https://www.homedepot.com/s/zip%2520sheathing?NCNI-5 Local lumber yard guy said it was related to the big freeze they had down in Texas a while ago. I dunno :dunno: Advantech T&G flooring over $75 a sheet...

    Outdoor deck/girder and posts

Geez Kay that is overkill for sure  (considering I only have a small SUV to park on mine)would be more than I need with 12" joist spacing but was considering a small hot tub so have tossed around the xtra stabilty The first deck I built for my buddy was built probably close to 35 years...

Lumber prices going up in your area!

I just scored 42 pcs 2x 8 x10ft PT for just under $15 a piece at my local lumber yard. Same sized boards at HD were almost $22 each. And they were saying new stock coming would meet or exceed the current HD price. Oddly enough 5/4 x 6 12 foot decking was cheaper at the HD, 6x6 and 2 x10's were...

    Outdoor deck/girder and posts

Well GJ I have been more busy than I want to be at my age rocking and taping an entire 5 room house by myself since after the new year started, but now that Spring is springing I also have to build a 10 X 38 ft deck on the back side of the house. And I am grabbing the PT lumber right now...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

These pumps work GREAT! I've used mine exclusively for landscape work (plant watering) drawing from a brook and pumping water thru 100ft of 5/8" hoses with an easy 10ft suction lift and it still delivers at least 5 gal a minute even at that distance. Around 45min run time with an older 9.0AH...

    Leveling a sloped garage floor?

Ya can't say if a wood floor is acceptable for what the OP wants in his garage space but that is exactly what we did down at the farm when we renovated an old space for a new packing house to meet the G.A.P. inspections were required to have. There was a good 2 inch drop across the length of the...

    M12 vs. M18 3/8 stubby impact.

And actually I do have the old M12 3/8 FUEL impact too. (2454-20) Its always been a nice tool but really is only rated @112 ftlbs I believe, so there really no comparison power wise to the two other impacts being asked about. I used it for a lot of small engine work and is more than adequate...

    M12 vs. M18 3/8 stubby impact.

Either wrench should be up for the chore for removal of general engine bay fasteners etc. I have both the Gen1 M18 1/2" compact wrench and a 3/8" Stubby. And the new M18 compact impact would great to replace what I have IMO :D In reality under the hood I find I use the 3/8" Fuel ratchet...

Install vinyl peel and stick planks over 12” vinyl squares

I would at least want to strip off any old surface wax before laying down the adhesive planks. :dunno:

    Back stab, no back stab?

So I recently had to deal with a few switches in my new GF rental house and discovered they were "back stabbed" and loose contact connection was the problem. I did get them to work again but I didn't try to remove the wires to do a screw attach (at least not yet) but also didn't see how they...
