Nice job on the riser! Just wondering, do you have the front panel for your box? That looks like an old Kennedy Machinist box, if it is, it should have a panel that covers the drawers so you can secure it when you want.

It would be great if you could leave the top hang over the sides about 2 inches all the way around, that way you can clamp anywhere along any side. Maybe make the 2x4 frame smaller since you cut the top already? Just a thought.

Your question is a little vague. Are you drilling thin sheet metal or solid metal? what size hole are you trying to drill? Are you using a hand drill or drill press/milling machine? If you're drilling sheet metal, start with a good center mark to keep your bit from 'walking'. If your hand...
