I just picked up a used Bendpak HD9 from a seller nearby. I was tempted by the constant ads I was seeing on Facebook for lifts, but I really wanted a certified lift. Most of these are not being used much in people's homes, so good used one is hard to beat. I paid $2750 just a few weeks ago...
I did not do the additions to my house, but it was originally a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch with a basement that looked like a basic rectangle. Over time, the carport was enclosed to create a family room (now a dining room), a large master bedroom was added to one side while the original master was...
Congrats on the new place. Sounds similar to my situation. I moved about 5 miles down the road a few years ago to a place that had a detached 30x30 garage next to the house, and a 40x40x14 garage in the back with a huge parking area surrounding it. Both garages are insulated, interiors...
I bought a new to me house 4 years ago that has two garages. The detached garage next to the house is all brick 30x30 with water, electric, heat and air. The other garage is 40x40 with 14' interior walls, a 12x12 door and a 12x14 door, 200amp service, and central HVAC. The exterior has about...
I ordered a thumb for my backhoe for Christmas. When it arrived, the company said they had not received one of the pins that should have been plated. They shipped it with an unplated pin so I could use it until the proper one could be shipped. I received it today, but it had visible machine...
Shockingly, the jack was delivered today, just two days after I ordered it from Lowes. Here are some photos of the jack and its packaging. Definitely a heavy son of a gun. I used a backhoe to position it on the lift, then put the tractor on the lift to see how well everything works.
Interesting. I just installed a new to me HD9 and I set it to the narrow setting because of all my yard equipment. I was thinking I'd have to adjust it to the wider setting when my son's F150 or my Ram 1500 are on it, but your post gives me hope.
Your build is stressing me out and I have nothing to do with it  Like you, I would have very high expectations and would be bummed everytime I came across something that didn't seem right. I drive myself crazy with stuff like this. Thankfully, for my own sanity, my garage was built by...
Well, I ended up ordering a RJ45 from Lowes. Got 10% off and used their credit card for 6 months zero interest. I had previously ordered the wheels the same way. Stupid expensive for a jack, but nobody here or on FB has said they regretted getting the RJ45.
Minutes after I placed my order...
Does that mean any rolling bridge jack should work with any four post lift? I wasn't sure if there was anything special about these lifts that made them proprietary to their brand lift.
