    Veeps' Garage

Re: The Little Vintage Garage. These look a lot like the sockets I use to remove the sight glass out of a Copeland refrigeration compressor. Really nice scores on those vintage tools! I wish I was able to find more of those on this side of the pond. Everyone throws everything away around...

That's a real pity. I really hope you can buy it to keep it in the family. I wish we had a place like that, I'd probably spend weeks there haha.

Nice pictures and what a view! It must be awesome just sitting there in the hayfield/lawn enjoying the views en silence.

    Something just clicked…..

You're welcome, my pleasure really. Your thread has in a way made me realize I need to pay a lot more attention to what I take home and what I buy. I sometimes buy things just to have them and would later find a use for them but all that those things would do is indeed eat up space, time and...

    Something just clicked…..

Just thought I'd add this. I can kind off relate to your situation and if I had the space I would probably be looking at the same thing you have been looking at. I've always had more tools and stuff than I had space for but I never really had a proper shop to begin with. At first I had a 10' x...

    Something just clicked…..

Just finished reading through your thread, took me a little while though. Nice collection you have there, or better yet had there. You've really turned it around quick! I like your plans for the shop and the improvements you're planning on. I'm sure that if you keep doing what you have been...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Warthog Hidey Hole

JB, Regarding your chuck issue on the Montgomery Ward Drill Press. Could it be that this particular chuck is non original? I've seen similar drill presses around here on the forum with the old style chucks. Similar to the ones on a hand operated drill, like a Millers Falls no 2. Dirk

Large Lot of Craftsman Sockets "Found"

Wow that's a nice score! And a mighty nice gesture as well! I'm looking for a couple of metric sockets for my traveling toolkit. Preferably 3/8 drive sizes 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18. 6 point or 12 point doesn't matter, can even be a mix of 6 and 12 point.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Woody's Works Garage

Just finished reading through your thread. Very nice shop and looking at the pictures you wouldn't be able to tell it's only 16x24! I really like the white ceiling and flooring it gives a more spacious feel.

    Danish 120m2 garage build.

Nice property! Makes me rethink my plans about moving within The Netherlands, everything is to small and to expensive overhere. Are you going to put in a small loft to create more floorspace?

Concrete sectional garage build in the UK

Nice job on the build. The bracings are a good addition that will strengthen it up for sure. I had a good laugh reading you had a hard time finding 1mm grinding discs. On this side of the canal it's getting harder en harder to find the 3mm disc, it seems that all I can find is 1, 1.6 and 2mm...

Thanks for posting this Ryan. Gerstner is definitely my number one most wanted toolbox.

    Workshop 88

There are only a few car makers that have ever done this. The drivers side lug nuts would tighten counter clockwise and passenger side clockwise. The theory behind this madness is that when the wheels are under load and turning the lug nuts would come loose. From today's cars the only car maker...

    Workshop 88

Eric, Are you welding with gas shield or with flux cored wire? I used to suffer from headaches at the shop when we were using flux cored wire, the boss was a cheap s of a b and he wanted to have a mobile welder without have to drag a bottle around (some wheels would have fixed that but that...

I must have missed it when reading through your thread. How do you clean the outside of the tubes? Regards, Dirk
