    Youtube videos worth watching?

Thank god someone mentioned AvE. he has some of the best/funniest tool reviews simply because he tears them apart and tells you the good, the bad, the cheap. Knows his stuff and isn't afraid to tell you that a $1000 circular saw is half ******** because he refuses to take on sponsors. He also...

    New 8 mm gearwrench

Im starting to feel that way. I had to replace a GW 12mm deep socket that ive had for a few years recently. I went to the same store I got my old set from. Its a little lighter and the knurling around the bottom isnt has...... defined? Carlyle seems to be okay still and my Armstrong ratchets...

Why you shouldn't use cheap Torx bits...

I dont mind torx. I regularly work on Saabs. They have their purpose and if youre straight on with the bit, they bite hard. Buuuut, it looks like you were straight with the bit and it did what its supposed to. Id rather the tool break rather than strip out the head.

XL double box ratchet wrench (which variant?)

These are the same as the second link you posted. Not sure if you can get them for the price you posted, but if you cant, these are cheaper and literally the exact same thing http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008FXN0VK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

The strippers were only $33 on the truck. Im certain that it was a truck special price. They are really nice. The combo deal was like $117ish? I was looking for a flex head 1/4" ratchet only and it was like $105 for SO. The ratchet that came with it is a bit longer and has a hard handle but I...

I like it! They didnt seem to have a 5/8" But 16mm is close enough. Its snug and hold on to the spark plug extremely well. There are only two issues I can see with this socket. 1.) Its taller than my Cornwell. Not a totally bad thing, but 90% of what I work on is Subaru. so clearance could be an...

Non Aerosol Spray Can - What's Your Homemade Brake Clean Recipe?

We've been using Wurth brake clean for a long time, but it's $99/5gal with a $29 hazmat tax (or something) on it. I went to napa for a cheaper solution and got the CRC stuff for $99... But it's non-chlorinated. Personally, I don't think it does nearly as well and the smell is strong enough to...

somebody recommend a REALLY good wash mit..

This guy has the right idea. Corey at Carpro sells top notch stuff and it doesn't get much better than Microfuber Madness. Unless you can find the old Raceglaze wool mitt. **** auto geek.

    Carbon Fiber Wrenches

They have a video on their site thats sorta impressive. They lift an ATV with a forklift and use the wrench as a connecting spot.... its impressive they didnt re-shoot the video because their logo fell off the front of the ATV on to the ground. Gave me a chuckle

    Carbon Fiber Wrenches

This is from the website's FAQ: Q: Do I need to wear gloves using the wrenches? A: We recommend using gloves as there is a small possibility the carbon fiber can leave splinters in your hand if the carbon fiber is damaged. The possibility of splinters from the carbon fiber wrench is about the...

    Torx set

I have the Cornwell master torx set which I believe is made by VIM. Love it. Hasn't failed me yet. Some have a little twist to them, but other than that, they are fine. I also have the VIM stubby torx and hex sets. Those are worth their weight in gold
