That's a nice score. I just bought five 4x8 sheets of pegboard today to replace the 1970's vintage stuff that was in my garage that was all small holes that don't fit most larger hangers.

To some extent, yes. When we decided to move from the house we built in 1999 (kind of a McMansion) to shorten our commute and move to a nicer area, my one requirement, was that I continue to have a three-car garage. This was kind of tough, since we were looking at houses from the 70's and 80's...

While I would agree with that in principle, where it could be an issue is when it comes to selling the place. If in a jurisdiction that an inspection is required before selling, and the pit is not up to code, it could cost the seller a pile of money to fill it in.

Cut them down. The house I grew up in had dozens of birch when I was a kid. I think almost all of them are gone now. Same with our cabin. I've taken down probably 15 birch up there, and have another six or so to do this year. They aren't very hearty, and they tend to rot, attract bugs etc...

A Roku is a box that plugs into the TV, usually by HDMI. We use ours to stream Amazon, Netflix, Plex, and YouTube, but there are many options for channels. We use it a lot. If not for live sports, we'd probably cut the cable (DirecTV for us) entirely.
