Been reading about some folks using JB Weld or Belzona to fill gouges like this. Anyone here with any experience in this area?

Is there any mechanical difference in between a 331 and a 331TV? Also this one has a 7 1/2 hp motor.

Bought this B331B 3/63 Ser. # N464123 as gov. surplus. Tried it out today and it made pretty loud racket, especially running backward. Started checking into it and found this. Pic is HP piston and cylinder. Is it toast?
