Just my .02 worth: I've always liked the look of wood contrasted with something a little more industrial. You may not like it, but having the first 3 feet or so covered with metal, then go up with wood looks good to me. There are plenty of pictures posted here of shop interiors, look around...

No need to be humble with that sweet ride parked there. I'd trade my left ( not the right ) dangling orb for that. Any day.
