Hello, I am a 22yo light duty diesel tech at a Ford dealership and to cut to the chase I'm looking for an out. It has nothing to do with the work, just the management. I have several places around me that work on construction equipment or heavy diesels and I'm just looking for some opinions as...
im in the market for a 3/8 air ratchet and im sick of slamming my hands on manifolds and frames. What do you guys recommend for air ratchets that wont bust my knuckles when im in a not so open spot.
an impact wrench is just like your air impact, it has an anvil (probs 3/8 or 1/2) and is no different than the air powered once except for the fact that its battery powered. An impact driver is a bit driver, it uses different 1/4 bits like phillips and torx and such. Which one you need is more...
So im lookin at buying some new wrenches for at work at im gonna get me the SO FD+ metric wrenches. My only problem is that they only go up to 25mm... Why? I need these for doing alignments and that means that I will need some up to around 32mm. Does this mean that I would have to get just...
my streamlight stylus pro. Love the thing to death, always in my pocket. Without it i would be in a very dark place (lol) and would have to deal with bulky shop lights.
Ya pretty much! Its about 1lb lighter too give or take. It is defiantly a socket breaker thats for sure! But also a lifesaver at the same time. just dont use junk sockets i guess! My matco 3/8 impacts took it well and my craftsman 19mm 1/2 drive took it well also.
So my lovely matco dealer at work let us lay hands on a new 3/8 impact thats not yet for sale. He clames it can put out up to 600ft/lb torque. All I can say after using it is WOW!!! This thing is crazy! Its stronger then my 1/2 impact, smaller, lighter, and just all around amazing. It rips lug's...
Im looking for a good 'COMPACT' jump starter for work for quickly jumping cars so i dont need to roll out the larger unit or carry out the regular jump starter that weights about as much as a battery itself. A HUGE benefit would be the ability for it to plug into 12v sockets to save KAM.
This...
Im not exactly 'starting out' per say, ive been in automotive for 1 year and done a few alignments, but now im in school for automotive and get the student discount so i never have to pay 'full price' :rocker:
If only there was a way to actualy hold all the wrenches at once to find what i...
Ya i have the fluke remote display DVOM, its pretty dang nice to have when doing parasitic draw tests.

So im looking at getting a set of larger wrenches 20mm+ for alignments and i just want some opinions. I know the FD+ is 'the **** to have' when it comes to wrenches but i feel like that upon a lot of torque it would hurt the palms. Ive used the Mac precision torque wrenches before which were...
