Really great thread! I have an old allied hydraulic 2 ton I bought at price club probably 25 years ago. It seems to lift OK, But doesn't reliably release (retract). I'm thinking that I have some debris or maybe pieces of a seal blocking the passage in the base casting going to the release valve...
