    Jawn's drive-under

Yes they are Jawn. I am in the middle of redoing the butcher job the previous owner had done on the divider wall between the garage and the finished basement. Then I plan to move on with the ceiling in one way or another. The little tractor is a 1958 Wheel Horse RJ.

    H.F. sand blast cabinet.

I have been looking at upgrades from TP Tools. Being that I have had mine for 5 years and have 0 into it, it wouldnt hurt to put some money into it. That being said, I would really like to upgrade to a larger cabinet that will fit all my tractor parts in. :dunno:

    H.F. sand blast cabinet.

I have one that I acquired for free 5 years ago. I need to do a little TLC (glass and gloves) to it, but it has been doing all my little parts without a hitch so far!! I use a shop vac for now for now with the HEPA filter and it seems to do ok.

Dealership or independent shop for work

I have never worked in a shop that didn't charge book time!! But, there have been times I wish I got paid for the time I had into the job versus what the book said it would take. It works both ways!!!!

Traditional Chevy bellhousing bolts - tools of choice?

Ditto on the impact swivels and the long 1/2 to 3/8 extensions!!

Dealership or independent shop for work

That may depend on how bad the leak is. If the whole area is wet with oil, everything should be cleaned very well and then UV dye added and inspected. I have had customers drive the vehicle for a day or two before bringing them back, but not very often.

Dealership or independent shop for work

OilFieldTrash, my only suggestion would be to find a reputable shop to handle your leak. You will find techs on both sides of the industry that shouldn't even own a wrench, let alone use it. I have been in the industry 17 years and did start out in a dealership. I have been on the independent...

    Innova for misfire diagnosis

James, hit the basics first. Check for a good pulse at the inj. with a noid light. That is a small light used to test inj. power/pulse. Make sure you have a pulse (blinking). Also, check compression on that cyl. and compare it to a known good cyl.

    Innova for misfire diagnosis

I would pull the Coil and plug to inspect. 8 times out of ten, a coil is suspect on those. I am sure you know #5 is the front cyl. on the drivers side. Also verify there is no coolant leaking at the thermostat housing because if it is, it will find its way right back down into #5 plug well...

Help me choose tool chest brand

Consider looking into a used Matco or SnapOn box. And personally after having both, I prefer my Matco. Have not had a single issue with drawer slides like I did with the SnapOn box and have had it twice as long. Seemed the snap on guy was bringing me new slides once a month!! Any N.E. guys...

Tech just starting out at a dealer

Tech, to most, it all comes with time and experience. The biggest thing to remember...... Even though you are flat rate, double check your work!! You will make more in the end, trust me!!! Mistakes and comebacks are fixed for free!! Now that being said, I have seen many come and many go...
