Personally, I would diamond grind or shot blast the floor. I have a newer home and performed a few car projects in the garage and cleaned the surface throughly before appling my flooring but any contaminants will cause the the epoxy floor to "fish eye". I would diamond grind if I every do this...

Did you use a floor sander? What equipment did you use? Thanks, david
