    I'm not sure if they're fire rated. I doubt it. When I bought them, they were the only 2x4 stud there. No regular colored wood. I thought it was strange. I guess they mark them for quick identification to differentiate.

    Those are 2x4 studs. That is what the home depot here sells for their 8 foot studs. They call them purple studs, but you're right, they are pink. Adds a little color to the room, lol.
