flap wheels for sharpening mower blades

Great tip on not burning the blade. I saw the idea of using the flap disk to sharpen blades here and have never looked back. What used to be an absolute chore on my grinder is now done in a fraction of the time.

Ahh- the dangers of the garage journal. I finally broke down and bought a set of crows feet wrenches to make a couple jobs a bit easier. Now I see there are ratcheting versions. Must resist. Really don’t have a strong use case.

I had not realized the connection to Mercury. A couple months back when I had a cut that we were using peroxide to clean out I thought about how my Grandma used to paint my boo-boo’s with that stuff. You definitely had the red badge of courage after that got on you. I seem to recall howling...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Garage Refurb®

Eric- I realize I am coming at this a bit late. If you move the Snappy cabinet up ( assuming you are tall enough to still reach things you want in it) you could put the drill press in the corner underneath it and move the box down a few feet.

I too found a use for this Wera tonight. I had purchased it on sale based on some recommendations from the Hive Mind here at GJ. Saved my bacon getting to an impossible to access screw on a ceiling fan install up on the ladder.

Great idea with the unistrut. I am going to put this one on the list of ideas to use. Glad you are back posting.

Would love to know your opinion on those. I have been wanting to pull the trigger but am not sure I will like them. Wish someone I knew had them to try.

This is really true- many Teenaged shopping experiences were going to the mall with my parents and ending up in Sears tool section with my dad. now that they are gone where else can you go to find the stuff you need. I am a home gamer so no tool truck. They have also come long way in the...

Like others here I made the quest to pick up the Icon pistol grips. If you have the app on your phone and can show them they are in stock at your location they will go in back and look. The guy at the register was nice enough to let me ring them up and use the 25% off coupon and then my wife...

Placing shed skids directly on ground, not removing topsoil.

I have a 10x12 shed delivered on a trailer in 1988 to my dads property. It is still going strong with the original 4x6 PT skids. It has been moved three times and had the doors rebuilt so I could park a Kubota B series inside. Shed has been on pavers or buried block to help keep from sinking...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

We must be brothers from another mother. I can’t tell you how many times I have obsessed over something like this. Executed the plan and even if I never use it I get satisfaction knowing it is exactly how I wanted it.

    Post Recession Shop Rehabilitation Project

Chris- glad to see a post from you. This is one of my favorite threads on here. I had never heard of the beetle kill lumber you used and it still sits in my idea file as something to find a use for. Thank you for inspiring me. Chad
