spring has arrived...and the siding is complete,,, went with Hardy Board...

and the snow and ice has arrived.........

south tin...

the tin is on the roof,,and the chimney is in,,just need to finish little things like ridge cap, and what not,,,and then start on the garage doors.... and yes,,,the wide open spaces rule....

today was window day!!!....four 4 x 4 windows to the south for passive solar.. and then several other windows through out the garage.

yeah,,,the purlins on the osb is overkill,.,,,but since it is a windy area, i felt better about the screws in the purlin compared to the osb. if i was doing this again i would have used plywood for the roof and attached directly. and yes,,i have done all the work myself with some help from...

thanks for the input about the screw... for some it might seem like the building is in the middle of nowhere,,,depends on view points. there are some other property's near by and a town with a water station about 10 minutes away. I just had power put in, septic and a 3000 gallon cistern..and...

tin time,,,,... whats some advice on filling a screw hole,,?,i put a screw in on top of a nail so the screw had to come out and that leaves a little hole.....

started the north roof...although it is a little hard and tiring handing sheets up to yourself.....haha

got some more work done today before the rain,,,,hopefully start the roofing tomorrow.....

ladders are on and starting to close her in....feeling the burn,,,
