    Amazon Warehouse Deals

When these were on sale before, I bought 3 - one for me, the others were gifts. They were great in the beginning, but all of them got clogged or otherwise failed/broke. Good idea but poorly implemented

    Best Small Electric Pressure Washer

The small electric pressure washers are generally disposable. I finally bought one of these: https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200347872_200347872 Leeson motor and CAT pump. They also have a slightly smaller one that runs on 120v. I specifically got the 230v so that it can’t...

How do I clean the swarf out of a magnetic bit holder?

Compressed air is quick and easy. Makita makes nut setters that grip with out a magnet (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Makita-5-16-in-Impact-Gold-Steel-Grip-It-Nut-Setter-B-35047/203696871) For some reason it does not come 1/4", 5/16" is the smallest.

just bought my first "real" compressor - is it too big?

You "could" run it on 220 maybe on a 60 amp breaker with a BIG phase converter OR Put a 3-5 HP single phase motor on it and change the pulley size. Might end up with a good quiet air compressor.

    Socket Organization

Here's an update to my socket storage. Instead of packing everything as dense as possible, I decided to make it easy to use. All the 3/8" below with a few ratchets and extensions. It was a pretty tedious job, The MDF was intended to be practice, but its so much work that I just left it...

    Makita 18v Cordless impact

I have both of the brushless makita 1/2” drive impacts. The little one is awesome. Decent power and not physically much bigger than a standard 1/4” hex impact. It’s use stops at things that are not rusty or overtightened. The big one is a brute, but it is heavy. I’ve not found it’s limit...

The newest member of the cult of Makita

I've got a ton of Makita LXT stuff. I've been drooling over the sub-compact line since it came out. Its basically the same as the new 12v CXT line with 18V batteries. There's even a 3/8 drive sub-compact impact. Since I don't "need" more cordless stuff, I'm waiting to find them on sale.

Anywhere to buy Husky tool box liner in bulk?

Yoga Mats are 24” x 6’. For <$10 at Walmart or Target. These work well for tool box liners, don’t stink like harbor freight, and are readily available

DIY electric pressure washer for cars

A “good” electric pressure washer falls into the “buy once, cry once” category. I had a couple $100ish cheap electric pressure washers. They are small and convenient with enough power for most cleaning but much slower than gas powered and not durable. They last one to two years if you’re...

Looking for new Nut driver set SAE/Metric

Whichever brand you choose, color coded handles are really nice. The Milwaukee set linked above has those ridiculous “universal” heads, vs. traditional 6 pt. That would steer. Me away from those.
