    Chimney cap refinishing

I get that this is a fabrication thread, but the Mason in me wonders why not replace the concrete cap, or take the chimney below the roof line and just Rin your vent through ?

    Mechanics Tool & Forge Company

I live down the road from Sabina. There is a generation in Sabina that has sadly been coming to terms over the last decade. One man I know particularly well, he worked at Mac from the day he graduated until the day the replacement he was training nearly burned a worker alive in a furnace. Bill...

Wilton Bullet Vise date stamping. show yours with or without EXP on slide

I previously had affirmed the numbers cast into the base of the vise i posted pictures of.... But, while cleaning the swivel base up a bit earlier.... really looked like it was marked 43-6 tho right? The pic i posted of the underside of the swivel base is definitely marked: 13-6, No.4, GF -...

Wilton Bullet Vise date stamping. show yours with or without EXP on slide

You think there is no possibility of the N on GUN being the N for a fixed base? The dynamic is definitely a match and the nuts for the swivel are a little cumbersome to adjust with no cutout.... How about the no. 5 on the same casting as the model 6? Whats that about? Seen that before? Id...

Wilton Bullet Vise date stamping. show yours with or without EXP on slide

Had some time before work.... here is a hasty reassembly, as ive been working on it, in the mudroom, cause Lucy Ford wouldnt dip a pinky toe in my sweltering garage at the moment. There's a shot of the nut and housing, which like i said, and i believe you can see, had the pins pulled through at...

Wilton Bullet Vise date stamping. show yours with or without EXP on slide

Id say that is likely, least ways as the nut is concerned. The holes are hollowed out a little bigger and im guessing the original may have snapped as the housing for the nut has semi circles instead of holes, and is in need of repair. You are correct with the other markings... The jaws...

Wilton Bullet Vise date stamping. show yours with or without EXP on slide

Call me crazy, but i just noticed from the base of the swivel, to vise base, static jaw/slide cover, then round to the nut, and out the slide to the dynamic jaw the part numbers read 4,5,6,760,860... coincidence?

Wilton Bullet Vise date stamping. show yours with or without EXP on slide

This vise came from southern ohio electric, just south of columbus, on route 23.... right on the Scioto. Nut appears to be marked by illinois malleable iron company. Says wilton chicago no. 6... then, number 5 down close to the slide. Marked GUN 860 on the dynamic jaw. SOE stamped (litterally)...
