Just picked this Dawn 150mm cast steel offset up today. I've been after one for years. Best part is I picked it from the Ford Assembly Plant in Broadmeadows that shut down in 2016... this one's definately getting painted Ford Blue!
G'day I recentley picked up this Dawn 200 biggest vice made by an Aussie manufacturer. Wanting to make a stand for it, just wondering what others have to give me some ideas
So I recently picked up an old Aussie made Qualos Junior Lathe made in 1949. Picked it up for a bargain price of $300 aud ($200 usd). Gave it a quick paint and made a new bench for it scrubs up well for a 70 year old. And runs better than most of my new gear.

I recently purchased a lathe and was wondering if it’s possible to reverse the lathe motor when I need to? I’d like to have it wired to a switch I could go forward and reverse.
Motor is old from 1950’s at least but still going strong.

Picked up this 4 1/2” Dawn today cheap. I was going to restore it until I cleaned off all the grease. Now I think I’ll keep it as is I like the patina.
I picked the combo up for $150 aud ($100 usd). The table is worth at least that. The vice you can still buy and new it cost around $800 so I’d say this one is worth at least $300
