I am a retired elementary school teacher. I've been a DIYer since taking every shop class in highschool and the ones offered at the other area highschools. I am an avid outdoorsman (gardening, hunt, fish, trap, camp). I love carpentry, welding and fabrication. Because of my hobbies, I've outgrown my 1.5 car garage and there's barely enough room to move, let alone work. So, I'm currently in the process of building a 14 x 28 workshop behind the current garage. I'm at the foundation stage right now and plan to have footings in by next week. I am in Michigan, so it's a race against mother nature.
