on advice of some folks here, I got the Craftsman Full Polish Industrial set of long SAE (USA) from a seller on Ebay. The metric set is there but a bit higher price...
This is an interesting box. Priced a little high for my taste but looks to be well made. Anyone know anything about this thing?

Pictures for when it's gone:
There's probably a Lowe's close by too. I have the SAE set. It doesn't go as high as the Cman set, but for the $$$, I'm happy. Looks like you could 12 wrenches for $17 out the door.

This screwdriver and hammer were given to me by my grandfather about a year before he passed away. He told me that he made them as a project while in machinist's school. The screwdriver is engraved "1940". He was a machinist all his life and ran "Art's Fix-It Shop" in Onalaska, TX until age 81...
I'll put in another vote for recon tools. I have a Milwaukee angle grinder, a dewalt router (corded) and several dewalt 18V tools that I bought as recon bare tools (purchased from CPOMilwaukee, ToolKing and CPODewalt). All the tools appeared to be in new condition. I don't use them everyday, so...

Not mine. Appears to be in good shape. Maybe someone here can use it. I'm all out of space in the living room.
I got a 72 Chevy truck a few years ago. The tool requirements are probably not too different from your Vette. I already had a pretty complete set of craftsman sockets and combo wrenches, basic set of pliers & cutters, screwdrivers, and hammers.
Here's a list of things that I bought afterward...
This jack is for sale, but seller doesn't know the make or model. Says it's blue and yellow so I thought it may be a Walker. Also, says it works fine.
Can anyone ID it and give me an idea of value? I want it to use, not restore/collect.
Thanks in advance.
I've used an Amprobe 15XP-B meter at work (not automotive). It's just a basic multimeter but it's well built and has nice features including long leads and a magnetic hanger. They have an automotive model Amprobe AU92 that looks decent:

This is the liner I've used. It's the same as the harbor freight 18" stuff, but the ebay guy sells 24" rolls (depth of my roll cab drawers). It's kind of tacky to the touch, which means it sticks to the bottom of the drawer and to the tools. It also claims to have some rust inhibitor in it...
