Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

So, last week we finally got all the trash cleared out from in front of the second bay. The trash in a older picture: That stuff is now all gone and I can finally use both bays! That E39 is more or less my second car at the moment. It's actually my grandfather's - he lives with us...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

That used to be true here in Germany. But nowadays you see a lot of landscaping guys run around in Ford Rangers / Mitsubishi L200s. Anyways, got my wall of cabinets done and even decorated slightly. Looks so much more complete now!

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

Thanks guys! Welllll, there may or may not be some beer in the fridge I brought over yesterday. Also installed some more shelving. And hung my paper wipe holder. And also wanted to get the wall of cabinets all in one color. I chose pigeon blue, as that's the color that my...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

Thanks guys! Hah, I can reassure you it was just me being bad at posting updates haha. Haha, I already told him if he ever wants to sell it to tell me first!:beer: Actually, I have to admit it's a bit re-purposed. My uncle had that sitting in his basement for the longest time. When...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

So, the front room is pretty much done now, but that's the only pic I have currently, showing the lights... Got my project car over into the garage. And also hung a little mascot :D It even lights up and I also installed a wireless bell... Receiver for the bell sits inside the...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

So, been a busy few days. First the guys got done with the plaster in the passage. Then they hung some slate and started with the roof. Also painted the front of the building. I had a busy time getting nearly all my stuff into the garage - only thing left to get over is my Mk2 Golf...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

Thanks! :) Left the lights in the old shop as I got them for free and they were energy wasters anyways. Struck a deal with my old landlord that he could keep the lights for a reduced notice period, so I would only have to pay for this month instead of until May. Well, there's nothing really...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

I'm only paying for things like the lights and doing the wiring and painting myself. All the other stuff, the heavy and expensive construction stuff, is paid for by the landlord.

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

Hey there! You may remember me (or most likely you won't) from this thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238626 Well, I had a nice run of three years in that barn, but the landlord did some douche moves and also started to fix up the attached house and was going to...

Old cow barn becomes my workshop...

Yeah, it's a bit annoying but I'm too cheap to spring for a extra flat jack and I dislike scissor jacks. I usually just drive onto a few blocks of wood until I can stuff the jack under. Yeah, the E36s are great dailys. I used to have a 320 sedan before I bought my Touring and my Touring was my...

The Abiding Garage; it really ties the house together

Love what you're doing there! Also, I envy you for the tire changer and balancer. Both teels I want, but at the moment I have neither the cash nor the space for them.

Done with the spray booth, for now! It's very simple, but it does the job... painted the first wheel today and it seems to work like I intended... tomorrow I'll see if it provides any meaningful dust protection. It can now be closed up... It's just a piece of cheap car protection tarp cut...

Old cow barn becomes my workshop...

Heater has been fixed for a few weeks now and is working better than ever, even when we had snow out it was pleasantly warm inside! Today I got some work done and cobbled together a small spray booth for painting wheels and other small stuff. Will be ordering a entry level spray gun soon...

Old cow barn becomes my workshop...

Thanks guys! Not much news yet... well, there is a bit. First off a few days ago I came into the shop and discovered this: My reaction was pretty much, as I was already envisioning expensive repairs or a expensive new oven. Then I remembered... hey, that oven... it's actually not mine...
