Like I said. Do you want to depend on used lifters on a new cam? Not me!

As I understand the issue, on newer LS engines the cylinder heads must be removed to get the lifter units out of the block valley. There is a work around, but who would reuse old lifters on a new camshaft? Not me or any other mechanic I know!

Can you use a floor jack on the "shock tower" tiles without ruining them. I assume jack stands must go on a wood base of some kind.

I got tired of waiting for them to show up in the store so I ordered two online! Had to pay cheap shipping, but now I can stop wasting time looking on line to see when they come in!

Anyone else using the "shock towers"? Are you going to use them to protect yourself from more stress & Strain? Sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for the reply pbon. Like I said before, it get really hot here and I usually have the garage door open while puttering around. I don't care for the freeflow tiles, paint is out, no way or place to move all of my stuff out. I guess I'm stuck for now with the old paint that was put down 25...

Ya, Tuff Seal tiles. I like the interlocking no visible seal concept, but pretty expensive! Any one use the Race Deck with the Shock-Tower option? They have rubber bonded to the bottom. Seems like that would eliminate the "clacking" of the regular tiles? My cement floor here with the door...

No tire staining with the RaceDeck? How about expansion with the heat? My garage floor runs at least 100 in the summer with the door closed. Thanks for the info! Dr. K

Nobody uses Vinyl Tiles?

I haven't seen any discussions about vinyl tiles like Tuff-Seal in some time. Any one using this style of flooring? If not, how come? Price, size? School me on the real world pros and cons! Thanks dr.k

Wouldn't be with out mine. I just leave them on the floor and park my vehicle over them!

Why don't you just use a wheel jack and save yourself the hassle? I do and never as much have nicked the caliper or rotor.
