    House Build w/ 3-car

No it was one single coat. Not sure how they're going to fix it and make it look right. There's a lot wrong and the pictures don't really show the full extent of it. Where it meets the sidewalk and curves bothers me so much it's not even funny. I drew a marking line how I wanted it and they...

    House Build w/ 3-car

We moved in on May 7th and have been working on oddball projects ever since. There's a lot of things I've had to do that should have been done before we moved in, but you all know how that goes. Here's so pics of where we left off. "Temporary" railings I made, powdercoated...

Few little things. For some reason the electrician put warm white bulbs in the soffit lights above the garage. Switched then out for daylight like every other bulb in the house. Comparison- And finally got the right combination of stuff to get the house numbers installed. Same size and...

Thanks for the comments guys! It depends on your bulb. If you buy direct wire bulbs, there is no ballast. The leads only go on one end of the bulb. The other end is just an empty holder. If you buy LED replacement bulbs where you just put an LED bulb into an existing fluorescent fixture...

https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/54756/SOCK-S2692.html I drilled the center rivet out and threaded my hardware through the center. This allowed me to pivot them around because I couldn't find a 360* lighting bulb. So there is a "dark" spot the length of the bulb. I can twist it to whichever...

Thanks! It does have frosted plexiglass behind the number cut outs. All the numbers bolt from the inside of that tube. The screw goes through an 1/8" spacer, the plexi, the post, 1/4" spacer, and threads into the back of the numbers. Good thing the wife has small hands! And the bulb is a 24"...

Hardwood guys have been kicking ***. Very pleased with their work. We went with DuraSeal's new True Black with 3 coats of Satin clear. The below pics are with 2 coats. Final coat tomorrow, then we will do some shoe moulding to fill the gaps. They will be the same white as the baseboards...

Thanks for the love guys. Def not letting these go. Have way too much time and thought into them! For the windows I just used the old trusty cutoff wheel. Took me almost an hour to cut them out and a whole lot more to grind and true them up. Hind site I should have had someone mill them or...

We were at lowes last night looking at them haha. Have to paint the electrical boxes themselves too. You can see some blue showing. The cabinet opposite the oven has one on a black side panel too, it'll be switched for a black one. And thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Thanks guys. The stone is by far our favorite part. There are some post lights and a mailbox post that I made that will get stone on the bottom 24". I'll wait til they're installed before I share some pics of those.

The misses and I are in the middle of building a house. Had a lot of trouble finding post lights we liked that would match the house and were reasonably priced. So, did what I do best.. Take something simple and make it difficult. Started as an idea. Marked and cutout. Test light...

A few updates. Things will be wrapping up before too long. Note how the wood is flush with the tile. We put down 1/4" board to achieve this to avoid transition strips everywhere.
