I set jake brake spec using a dial gauge on older Cummins N14. I just need one that reads up to 1" max. Wheel bearings also need to be measured at the end of the spindle for play and set at a specific .001-.005"

I like my snap on mg725. I use a 1" shop air hose and it works mighty strong. I even purchased the second one and keep it in the bottom of my box.

I'm looking for a decent magnetic base 1" dial indicator. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Jack stands and bottle jacks are always a good idea to invest a bit more then just harbor freight. I don't like it when people use harbor freight 8-12ton jack stands at my work. I'm not bashing on harbor freight nor am I biased with all tool brands, but I think some of their items should never...
