I had my barn sprayed with open cell about 6" thick in walls and 8" on cieling for $10k. Barn is 40x64x16. It definately makes it air tight and sound proofed!!
I just installed a Rannai propane boiler and so far I love it. Its a 130K btu unit with domestic hot water capability. My installer told me this is the best boiler on the market that money can buy at the momment. To each their own, but it did cost me $4200 boiler only with vent kit.
So it appears you put the vertical burried perimeter foam to the top of the sill plate? How far does it go vertically underground? Do you plan on your finished floor comming to the top of the foam or just below? Thanks.
I'm no expert, but my understanding is the loops need to be no more than 300' in length max. The spacing may differ in between runs pending your climate. Here in MI, they are 12" apart and 6" on the outside wall.
I wish I could find a deal like that! Menards had no interest dealing with me as I'm not a "contractor." Home Depot and Lowes tried but werent even close. And I thought $26 a sheet was a good buy!!

Home Depot told me they could not get the non-cut sheets, so I went to Pro-build and they had just what I needed. I just dont want to risk a break especially when I will not be the only one walking on it! Bought 93 sheets! $OUCH$
I was looking at the 2" Owens Corning XPS 250 4x8 sheets at Home Depot and noticed that the sheets are perferated so they can be easily snapped into common sizes. My question is, anyone have any problems with this setup underslab and breaking when walking on it at the perferations? Is this the...
