    Parts washer help?

I use Super Clean all the time on bicycle bearings and it works great! I usually let the parts soak (in a can, occasionally agitating) overnight though. I don't think I'd recommend it for a parts washer as it looses it's strength pretty quick. I think Castrol sold off Super Clean a few years...

Thanks for the details GD! A bucket and a brush is what I'm using now!:lol_hitti I figured the cheapie units were **** and full of problems (otherwise full of ****). Like I said earlier I'm using this strictly on a small scale and maybe only a couple of times a week, so I'm trying to justify...

    Parts washer help?

I did a search and suprisingly didn't find a thread on this already! I've been looking at getting a parts washer, probably a bench-top type (3.5 gallon) since I'll mainly use it for cleaning bearings, etc...on vintage bicycles. My question is...is there a brand out there that you guys can...

    Painting With Rattle Cans

Another thing I noticed is after priming, I used wax & grease remover (can't remember the exact brand - something like Klean Prep or something like that) and it started wiping off the primer (softens it really) if left on too long. That being said be careful how long you leave the w & g remover...

    Painting With Rattle Cans

Well, it kind of depends on what your painting. I painted a bicycle recently using only Dupli-Color rattle can products, from primer to clear (following the usual prep, dry times). The paint looked great but boy did it scratch real easy! Now I see why the bike guys are powdercoating instead of...

I went last weekend to this estate sale and found some pretty good dust collectors (oil cans, etc...). I am in no way affiliated with this sale, but you Houston guys ought to check it out. They have a large old wooden workbench (used to be some type of dresser, but looks homemade, nice drawers...

    Eastwood offers 25% discount

I get those notices from Eastwood by email. They did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, I tried placing an order online but their server crashed (that's what they told me anyway). Their customer service guy was nice enough to extend the offer to me a couple of days so I could get my order in.

    More old craftsman toolbox projects!

I picked up a small 4 drawer box a while back that's similar to yours (my drawers are red plactic). Someone painted it an ugly brown in the past, so I sanded it down and painted it black. I couldn't tell if it was C-man (it does have the a similar indention for a decal, though I didn't find...
