    Craigslist score

Re-posted because I put in the wrong forum. I found this on Craigslist last week, Grand Rapids MI area. Like brand-new condition, 2003 Craftsman 13" Drill Press with vise...$100. I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough. Sorry for the blur in the pictures. *

    Weller Soldering Gun

I really came across a great deal at an estate sale a couple weeks ago. Got this old (not sure how old...60's maybe?) Weller 8200 still in the box. Looks like it's been only used a couple of times. Price was $2.50 and included some Kester solder and 3 new light bulbs. One cannot have enough...

1985 MAC Limited Edition Gold Plated Ratchet

I imagine I'm not the only one who has one of these, but it is vintage and a collectible...besides, this forum is the best.

70's Vintage JCPenney Bottom Box and 80"s Era Top Box

My MAC box is a middle box that measured 26" X 16" and 10" high. The handles say MACtools on them. I remember that I bought the Mac in 1984 off the tool truck (it was a display he had). I've been over it with a fine tooth comb and there are no numbers stamped anywhere. Mine is of the 84' or a...

70's Vintage JCPenney Bottom Box and 80"s Era Top Box

I ended up sending off a picture of my JCPenney box and a picture of the spring clips to Kennedy and they said...the part number to order the spring clips for the drawer slide is 80956… $5.80 plus $10.00 shipping/handling fee, (this is for a package of 4 springs). Thanks for the input on this...

    JC Penney Chest

Yes, I bought mine in the late 70's and I have say that as far as durability, it has served me well through the years. And it just wasn't sitting against the wall, I wrenched for over 30 years and would roll it around to whatever job I was doing for the customer. Thousands of jobs this old girl...

Did you just acquire this box? If so, great find. I have been scouring the web on JCPenney boxes and there just isn't much info out there. Please keep us updated if you find any further information. Thanks for posting.

70's Vintage JCPenney Bottom Box and 80"s Era Top Box

Well, I went over the bottom front as has been suggested and there is nothing stamped. This has me really curious as to who manufactured this box for JCPenney. I called Waterloo and asked them if they had spring-clips for this box and they sent me this picture to compare: The spring clips on...

70's Vintage JCPenney Bottom Box and 80"s Era Top Box

I bought the Mac box during my wrenching days before I retired. Bought it in 82 I believe. I put the stick on, because most of my tools are a combination of Snap-On and Mac. Had to keep the tool truck guys happy.:)
