Call the kid out on it....his reaction will tell you if it is him or not... if he is shocked then he is proabably innocent then apologize tohim. If he mumbles or looks away like he wants to run then say give them back or I am calling the cops.... His body language will tell you right off.

I bought an identical vise off the classified here and media blasted and painted it Regal Red...highlighed the lettering with walmart silver fingernail polish....turned out fantasic.

I bet that screw isnt original on that American Chain Co....looks newer.

Just received a Wright #952 Metric wrench set...I am impressed overall and came with a solid canvas roll....that is also made in USA. I would recommend this to anyone....found on Amazon for 148.00 shipped.
