HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Finally got my tree up in the shop!

Been doing a complete remodel at my shop (gone over schedule and over budget)... Took a break to put together a Chrondek type Drag Racing "Christmas Tree"! It was a lot of fun. Used scrap from some cabinets I removed, a quick trip to the local ACE hardware store, and... Voila:

    Opening a garage..

Have worked in shops, went through ASE and was an A&P in the USAF. I only do my own stuff these days, but I just bought a commercial shop (to expand my classic car business). Having said all of that... just read this article about an hour ago...

Show me the PEGBOARD! Hanging Tools.

I looked and could not find a thread dedicated to pegboard. I am in the process of hanging my cabinets and agonizing over layout... And it's time to hang pegboard. My plan is to do pegboard on my "Backsplash" (above workbench, below cabinets). PO left me with a bunch of pegboard, so...

    New VT Garage apartment

Wow! Nice start! Looks like snow already, LOL... Where are you in central Vermont? I lived in the Royalton area and up from Bethel (Lilliesville) for a couple years. I remember the first dusting of snow between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Subscribed!

What did your wiring cost? Trying to get a consensus...

Colomboj: My feelings exactly. Although I wasn't able to do everything I wanted, some money was spent "Just Because" for things that weren't necessary. In fact my BIL gave me lot's of "While the walls are open" options... I had to pay my BIL basically because he did what I could not, is young...

    Old traffic light wiring/Signal

Gungatim: Thanks for that! I will likely need this very soon as I am in the process of buying some old traffic signals...

What did your wiring cost? Trying to get a consensus...

I appreciate the feedback. Just bummed about cost over-runs... Electrical was NOT supposed to be a big deal. Just adding a few outlets on the shop side, turned into Smart panel, 220 runs with conduit, 11 overhead lights, a shop heater and a bunch of other stuff. Oh, well... I am past it...

    Headed to Milwaukee

Just visited family in Detroit last month, drove up North and back down through Milwaukee and flew out of Chicago. We spent the day in Milwaukee. Other than sports, beer, sausages and Harley it's not the center of the universe. BTW, I have been to Milwaukee half a dozen times over the years...

What did your wiring cost? Trying to get a consensus...

Damn. I figured about $500 in the beginning (a few more outlets and some lights) Received some good advice about Commercial standards and what I really needed to prioritize. Building had knob and tube, cloth romex, 70's romex, yellow romex, and MC. (yikes:scared:) First material bill was...

    1965 GMC build

What engine and trans is he going to run? That suspension setup is pretty trick! Is it going to be a fixed ride height or airbags? Can't wait to see more updates...

    1965 GMC build

Wow! Nice truck! I go through classic cars like water... still need to scratch that itch (mid 60's Chevy/gmc). Here is my old '85 I had 20+ years ago. Before and during. Can't find an after pic. Had a built 350 in it with side exit exhaust (cam lope used to set off car alarms...LOL). Nice...
