I’ve wanted to move for 20 years plus so I could have a big shop but my brides work kept us here. Now that I’m 70 having a huge shop doesn’t seem to be as important as being able to relax most evenings and plan a few trips. I have no idea what the costs are for just an acre or two within 15...
I tried watching your cool little video on your YouTube channel on my tv and couldn’t find it. In fact when I type in your video’s name some very interesting videos on avoiding home invasions pop up. Anyway I’d love to have that machine stop by and remove a couple half dead trees here too and it...
P: Thanks!!!
So this upper deck installation is going great so far. The angle stayed consistent even when turning the opposite direction. The point miraculously met at the corner do I didn’t have to cut a double sided piece and the full board pattern only had me notching one board on one of the...
So you call your pool a bag of water?? Always nice to watch you maintain your stuff and document how.
Any biking or sailing in your future or just ducking the heat wave into your pool?
The steps are finally finished and the top deck has started to look like a real deck again.
When I installed this 12 inch trim piece on the side of the steps a couple days ago I knew I should have trimmed it an 1/8 to allow for it being an 1/8th to high above the deck and step framing. We don’t...
I’ve loved my fien Multy tools but their metal cutting blades used to be junk. Thankfully Diablo and now a few other manufacturers make decent ones. I’d like to upgrade to battery one day but two working ok with 12-15 foot cords works now.
I’ll catch up with all the posts later but wondering if...
For some reason your thread quit popping up on my watchlist so I apologize for not poking my head in lately. That said I’m very interested in your live edge project so I’ll keep checking in and wishing you the best.
Good luck!!
Ollie: thanks for the good words and glad you like how my deck is looking. This deck project is taking more than a little time and working with my bride as my only helper (except her BBF for a few days screwing in blocking and deck boards) it really is coming together. Also living through...
Bob you’ve always amazed me at your abilities to do maybe more than most of us with two good hands can and I (we) always love your stories which seem to be endless.
You and I have always differed in our opinion of the medical community so I’ll never suggest you do anything different than do...
Another day and some more progress. I won’t be doing this for a living that is for certain but the steps are coming along nicely. I cut and installed the corner pieces (we are calling it a waterfall) and finished cutting and installing one side of a step.
Hopefully I’ll have both steps...
Probably depends on the type of wood it is too. I’m guessing that even in Southern California it gets cold some winter nights.
What is the wood cause hard to know from a couple pics? Nice looking so far and very best of luck!!
Making this corner waterfall look happen sure has a lot of moving parts so marking cutting and screwing in each step is just hoping after I cut each piece it looks ok (and that my bride approves). I’m looking forward to getting it done.
My ears are officially lowered for summer now and after...
Go fund me page??
It’s great to have a to do or round to it list and yours is big but we are all pulling for you to make it happen.
Your lawn sure came in quick. I’m guessing you know how to make stuff grow (hee hee).
