    Robinair, R-12, A/C Machine

Here is the scoop, I bought this Robinair Recovery/Recycle, R-12 A/C Machine, a couple weeks ago, so I can work on my old cars with R12. There was another a/c machine I had my eye on, but the owner took forever to get back to me, so I figured he sold it, and so I bought this one. It figures the...

    Socket set suggestions

You can all ways search local Craigslist for a nice used set like Snap-on, Matco, Mac, Cornwall, etc. Lowes has a decent tool selection also (Kobalt used to be a small division of Snap-on) but still nice. Hope that helps!

should i get this for $40?

What he said!!! Buy them before some one else does!!!! $40 is a steal. If there's any issue with them, they still a life time warranty!!! Mine were about $65 each, off the Snap-on truck when new.

    Craftsman Professional/Industrial Tool Boxes

Nice but pricey, I was more impressed by the big stainless steel one at Lowes, with a small built in fridge & audio system in it.

What do you think about back yard buddy lifts

I'm new here, I know this is an old thread, but just thought I would share my experiance with lifts. I'm an auto tech by trade, and work with lifts on a daily basis, & I've seen & used all sorts of brands & models. I really like Rotary 2 post lifts, but recently I was looking for a 4-post...

    Vintage Snap-On Engine Hoist/Crane

Thanks again Hiball, The Snap-on tool truck showed up at the shop today, first time I got to talk with the guy, since I bought the hoist. He didn't know the model number, but did say its most likley from the late 70"s & this is a real Heavy Duty hoist & of corse all made in USA. He also said...

    Tool whatizit?

It kinda looks like some kind of bead breaker. The 1/2 drive may not be for a ratchet but maybe a 1/2 drive shaft, that this slides over. Think of like an old school tire machine or something of that nature. I'm not saying it for breaking tire breads, but maybe other things were a machine or...

    Vintage Snap-On Engine Hoist/Crane

Thanks for the info Hiball, I added 2 more pics. The ram/pump looks original to the hoist, but I'm not 100% sure by any means. (not my area of specialty) Any idea how old it is? Like, I said before, this thing is heavy, & there are large swivel casters under the main plat form & the mounting...
