What do you use for fluid clean up?

We use a shredder in the home office and it works great for coolant and water spills use cat litter for oil. I keep a small 20 gallon garbage can of the shredded paper handy.

    frameless windows?

No just the bottom of the frame, (commonly called the window sill) I only tilted it about a 1/4 inch. That gives it just enough that when rain hits and runs down the window it will run off.

    frameless windows?

25 years ago did a 24 foot wall of glass with double pane freebies (all tempered) in my family room. As stated build a base out of a quality durable wood tilt the bottom so the water will drain off and seal well with silicone. I used silicone both inside and out and held them all in with wood...

Opinions on 3 car garage spacing

I’m 36 foot x 28 foot with three 9 foot doors with 2 foot between doors and I will definitely go 40 or longer on the next one. I thought I’d have plenty of room but no such luck I make it work but we’re getting ready to sell and the next one will be larger.

    Roll Up door in Residential?

Yelp openers are up there on the price I’m getting ready to try a regular chain drive on one. My neighbor has them on his and doesn’t seem to have any trouble out of them. He has them mounted on the side running up and down. He made a bracket to attach them to and they work good.

    Roll Up door in Residential?

I did not a neighbor down the road a little ways from me has and told me they were not worth the money so I’ve held off. I know that we are going to sell and move again pretty soon so I’m going to let the new owner fight the problem.

    Roll Up door in Residential?

The pros (economic) the cons ( dust intrusion, wind whistling in and over the top and around the sides, no good way to seal the door, no strength, etc). I installed three 9ft roll up doors on my shop and IMO it’s the worst mistake I made on the entire build. I know we are only staying here...

Advisable to Use HardiPlank Or Equivalent for Wall Bottom?

Saw one that used pressure treated plywood 2 ft wide and hinged in side and outside. The guy let the plywood dry (pressure treated can be wet from the lumber yard) and sanded it down sealed and painted it a different color than the rest of his walls. This was in Louisiana along the Ms River...

Steel roofing/siding vs plywood for pole barn?

I’m not saying I’m right but have installed some where around 90 to 100 thousand squares using a circle saw never had any problems. Cut from the back side and you can do width or length with out a problem. It has never burnt the coatings with the backwards carbide blade but it will burn the...
