Is this really the best Craftsman ratchet?

I think it's tied with the thin profile for comfort and the RHFT for versatility. I have used the 60 tooth qr thin profile for quite some time and it just works. The anvil is polished from the amount of use it has had. USA made to boot.

The Klein Tool addiction thread! :)

I did. It still didn't make sense. You state "The current code letters indicate the year of manufacture, starting with "K". The number, at least on the forgings, indicate the sequence that the die it was made from was machined. The dots, or dashes indicate the impression on the die that it...

Has anyone figured out how to date the newer (laser etched) Kleins? I think I figured it out.

Those are nice strippers, but I don't care for the pinch type cutters. Too much effort to cut solid conductors. I much prefer the shear type blades.

Milwaukee wins 3/8” drive Ratchet Torture Test - Video

Who cares? Handled one if these, they're heavy, handle is too slick. Not that impressed.

    Klein J207-8CR combination stripper/longnose plier - opinions?

I tend to agree. Needle nose are a very specialty pliers specifically used to access restricted locations. They simply are not a tool I would be using or needing when stripping wire or making up boxes. Now the pliers that I think Klein have nailed are these heavy duty strippers. K12035 Nice...

    Klein J207-8CR combination stripper/longnose plier - opinions?

I think they're worthless. The stripping is awkward since the holes are far out and they are inset, so easy to knick the conductor. The only thing I liked was the ability to cut 6 and 8 32 screws. I sold mine awhile ago.

    American made inverter welder?

I also question the sanity of this post. Sounds like all you really care about is the cost and never intended to be interested in an American made welder.

    American made inverter welder?

I think some here haven't seen how our manufacturing brawn has been gutted. Leave your cushy IT job in the suburbs and take a trip to the Midwest towns to see the effects. Then come back here and make the same comments. For those that may find this thread and are actually, genuinely interested...

New tekton flex head 90 tooth ratchets

I do love that new Snap-On indexing head, very nice tool. But no, I meant that the pivot angle is indexed, much like the older Craftsman and Gearwrench ratchets. Usually that's used with the ball and spring tensioner to avoid a floppy head, which usually is caused by the pivot bolt/ears being...

New tekton flex head 90 tooth ratchets

What is the diameter of the pivot bolt for the 1/2"? And are they only available with indexed handles? Or is the only thing that matters is how shiny the chrome is?
