My opinion, get one with a trigger switch. Much more comfortable for long term usage.

Do you have the ability to build backwards off of your current garage? I eyeballed a house that had a standard 2 stall off the end but then was 2 deep that also went 3 wide (back behind part of the house). Might be easier to get past an association then adding another building.
