    New Bearings For Craftsman Drill Press Quandry

    When I switched out the bearings on my Craftsman drill press, I set the bearings on a light bulb while the shaft was in the freezer. It worked out well for me.

    Every once in a while one of those will show up on Craigslist. Sometimes with the tools still attached. Of course if you are looking for one, it'll never show up.

    1946 Craftsman 80 Drill Press

    If you go to Searspartsdirect.com and enter the model number of your drill press they may still sell that part. They do for mine and it looks identical to yours. Probably pricey though. Old hardware stores or farm supply stores may be a better bet.
