Hello. Been lurking for a few years. Never posted til recently.
Figured I'd show off my detached shop.
Before anyone mentions it. Yes its cluttered with household stuff. I am getting it organized/cleaned.
My short list is getting the compressor plumbed, cleaning out the non shop...
Yeah, I found a few termites when I was shoveling out the pad.
And thanks for the tip nuttsgt.
The current pad is 3.5" thick. I think I am going to take the simple route and pour a separate pad for the compressor. Keeping it separated from both the shop foundation and the other pad...
Unfortunately its attached to the shop foundation. Not sure if he poured gravel around it, or built it below the ground level.
He did leave the forms in place. Which rotted, then spread the rot up the enclosures siding...
The extent of the rot. Thankfully the shops siding was not affected.

I started digging towards the exhaust fan...
This was the previous lean to. Its housing an 80 gallon tank from an old devilbiss compressor. The previous owner left it when he moved.
The wood Is rotted about 12" up the wall. I thought it had been placed directly into the dirt. Lots of termites!
Note the PVC airlines.
Apparently I am not bright enough to figure out how to post pictures.
Anyways.
I tore down the compressor loan to, only to find that he had poured a small slab for it. But unfortunately left the forms in place. Which in turn rotted, and spread the rot to the lean to itself.
As soon as I...
Hi. Been lurking for a few years. Finally decided to post.
I bought a house last October with a 1500 sq ft detached shop.
Shop has a 2 bay main area, then a single bay paint booth. The previous owner was a car painter by profession.
The weather has finally dried up a bit for me to start...
