SK customer service is no good

As a wrap-up for anyone following this saga, I waited to see if the emails will bear any fruit, all in the name of science. A few days after I posted this (and initial email being sent nearly three weeks prior to that) I finally got a reply asking for my address. Replied to that, another 10 days...

    Impact Driver Versus Impact wrench

Depends on the wrench though - a lot of the newer wrenches (as well as drivers) have speed settings that limit the torque, and Makita and a few others also have "autostop" for when the bolt gets broken loose or snugged hand tight. They got quite advanced in the last couple of years,

    Impact Driver Versus Impact wrench

They absolutely do not. Impact drivers and impact wrenches operate on identical principal and besides sizes, are near as to be the same inside. The only tools that impart forward hammering motion are hammer drills and jackhammers.

    Imagine not having tools.

If I may chime in, dr_clyde, Shelbylex and a few other hit the nail pretty squarely. Kids getting lazy and knowing nothing is a tired old trope. Kids know a crapton of stuff - about things that matter to them and their generation, in 2021. I like working on things with my hands, but if I was...

SK customer service is no good

Hold up, does it actually say on their site somewhere that one must call in regard to warranty issues? And you have to pay shipping as well because they want the old one back? Seems like this is going to spare me that dreaded phone call after all, along with new-tool SK purchases in the future...

SK customer service is no good

Some people have an aversion to talking on the phone, hearing issues, etc, myself I like to have things in writing when dealing with warranty issues (among other things), to cover my *** as it were. Work habits. I am guessing you are right and it's a truck driver. I'll try calling the company...

SK customer service is no good

Last I heard they aren't making any more boomers, so companies that are allergic to millennials will weed themselves out of being in business soon enough.

SK customer service is no good

I was surprised to find out that they do indeed exist, if photos on google are any proof, but can't say I have ever seen one either. That was my guess as well. It's unfortunate that Grainger is no longer a distributor since I have one much closer. We'll see if calling them will yield any results.

SK customer service is no good

Thanks, I took a look and seems Grainger is no longer a dealer for them, at least not according to their locator. Nearest address is a private home(??) 40+ miles away in the boonies, so not a likely option. I have no pressing need for that particular tool since I have a replacement, just one of...

SK customer service is no good

Yes, emailing a company when given the option and expecting an answer is completely illogical. Why do the logical thing and take this information into account when you can mock instead? Just to reiterate, I will call them now that it's evident that emailing is useless. I also did an entire...

SK customer service is no good

Nothing unusual as far as I can tell - just a request for a currently manufactured hand tool accessory in 3/8 size. I politely let them know I have a certain part # in need of warranty, asked them if it was eligible, and then there was silence.

SK customer service is no good

Sounds like my case might be an unfortunate fluke. I'll try again.

SK customer service is no good

I'll try giving them a call, but why do they have email contacts if they simply ignore that portion of their communications? Seems silly. I'll update if I get this resolved.

SK customer service is no good

So, I have an SK tool I needed to warranty, and reached out to them by email. Got an automated response about them being busy, but they will surely get back to me. A week goes by, nothing, Another goes by, still nothing. I send another email, same request - not even an automated response this...

Craftsman Hand Tool Manufacturers & Date Ranges

So I wanted to chime in about this one - I have a set of Craftsman 3/8 dual marked sockets that are G2D, and I am quite certain I bought them as early as 2005 when I started working on my first metric car, bought a year prior. I definitely didn't buy them anywhere near as late as 2008.
